Broadcast from Home is a chaptered composition made up of testimonials of people across the United States of their emotions and experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic. The goal for this type animation was to reflect the tone, pitch, and meaning of the words through scale, typeface, and movement of the type. This was one of the most transformative projects I have taken on as a designer because not only was I experiencing the process of applying audio to a moving, visual composition, but I was also experiencing the same event that inspired the emotions and words in the composition. This connection was motivation to best represent the sung testimonials.
